Portlandia has been renewed for two more seasons.

Cool another 2 years (at the very least) of me and my friend Andrea stifling our intense love of the show in order to stop creeping out Fred and Carrie every time we casually show up to every single Portlandia event in New York. Great.

This is awesome advice from 3 smart, accomplished, and very funny ladies. When I first discovered Broad City, it inspired me to write and create my own project, and while it didn’t pan out like I had hoped, the first attempt motivated me to try again at another idea I had. And if that doesn’t work out, I’ll just keep trying to create something else.

Things I Need To Work On When I'm 24

I turn 24 next Tuesday. So I’ve come up with a list of things I need to work on in the next year of my life. Real adult of me, you guys.

1. Updating my tumblr. (I see progress with this very post!)

2. My posture.

3. My garbagey self-esteem. (Though I’ve made progress from age 22!)

4. Not waiting over a month to buy groceries.

5. Being able to afford groceries.

6. My nail polish collection. JK. My collection is pretty great. You’re right on track, Meghan.

7. Not telling guys I’m too busy to date when I’m on a date.

8. Not using the phrase “super single” to describe myself to interested guys. Like, “suuuuuuuuuuper single.”

9. Not having anxiety attacks when I go to a salad bar with a shit-ton of options and I have to tell the person behind the counter what I want.

10. Stop apologizing to inanimate objects that I bump into in stores, thinking they’re people. (This was one of my New Year’s resolutions - it got me a free spin class from HBO Girls! But really. It’s a problem.)

11. Stop apologizing to people who clearly were the ones to shove into me or run over my feet with a stroller and/or luggage. (Why am I apologizing to the luggage?? This goes back to number 10.)

12. Not assume a guy at a bar who is trying to guess my ethnicity (whether correctly or incorrectly) is a serial killer. (This one’s gonna be really tough for me.)

13. Have money.

14. Keep money.

15. Save money.

16. Figure out what money is.

17. Not care about money.

18. Hug more puppies. Always.

19. Continue being apathetic about cats.

20. Make progress on my Netflix Instant queue.

21. Continue to go to the gym as daily as possible and continue to not broadcast it to my Facebook or other social media outlets. Also continue to hide the posts from those kind of people in my news feed.

22. Continue to see a lot of great live music and comedy as much as physically possible. (This goes back to number 17.)

23. Pursue my goal of being a TV/comedy writer. (Gross, hopes and dreams!)

24. Be happy. Be patient.
